Having studied and practised Oriental philosophy and medicine for over 30 years, Eileen uses a unique combination Oriental and Western thinking in her practice and teaching of Ji-Hi. The aim of Ji-Hi is to remove pain and suffering and impart happiness and restoration of health and balance by using the point and meridian system and understanding the internal source of our dis-ease. This then empowers us to learn what types of foods, physical practices such as Do-In etc that we can adapt to our daily routines of movement and improve the quality of our health and lives. The treatments involve a combination of Acupuncture, pressure point and deep tissue massage/manipulation, cupping and moxa to restore health and vitality.

Workshop 1

Facial Diagnosis and Chinese Medicine Theory

This workshop is fun and interactive. We will learn about the influence of diet, birth date and lifestyle on the shape, and individual features of the face.

The five elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water influence skin colours, blemishes, lines, and  size of the lips, nose, positioning of the ears, shine in the eyes and texture of the hair. Our appearance really is a reflection of our physical and mental well being and tells a story of where we are and where we have come from, our emotions and our strengths.

Come along to learn more about your own and others’ stories and what we can do practically on a daily level to glow and connect on a deeper and more compassionate level with ourselves and others.

Workshop 2

‘Do-In’ Pressure Points and Exercises For Health

This workshop is informative and invigorating! Sometimes described as ‘self-shiatsu’  Do-in is a wonderful practice that can be added to your toolkit to promote a healthier life-style.

Do  = to open up the channels and facilitate movement

In   =  to move and stretch one’s limbs to achieve this purpose

You will learn how to locate the meridians, and the pressure points of tension and discomfort, and how to release blockages and restore balance and energy along these lines. Relief can be felt after targeted stretches and moves, and by simply using either your thumbs, index finger, or maybe a massage ball to identify where tension has built up.
