Nicky Smith - Wild Heart Yoga

Nicky Smith – Wild Heart Yoga

From dreamy Nidrā meditations, to the freedom of flying in Aerial, Nicky loves sharing the magical practice of Yoga from her heart, for everyone. Discovering Yoga after an injury, initially Nicky had just hoped to improve her flexibility.

Her offerings are a beautiful blend of calming, yet uplifting energy… and always full of joy! Soulful, traditional Yoga with a playful twist, balanced with deeply restful & nourishing practices too. Nicky loves supporting new students with their first Aerial experience, as well as exploring new flips & tricks with her regulars. She encourages all the giggles!

“My philosophy with Yoga has always been that it’s not about the shapes we create, it’s how they make us feel. It’s a Yoga practice, not a Yoga Perfect. All our bodies are wonderfully unique, and we celebrate what we can do, always practicing from a place of compassion. I love the connection and community that Yoga brings, and for me it will always be so much more than just the poses.”

Workshop 1

Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga is a fun and playful way to deepen your Yoga practice and safely explore inversions. Perfectly complementing other styles of Yoga, Aerial Yoga offers lightness for mind, body & soul. Classes are based around traditional Yoga postures, using the fabric to help support your body weight. (Think of it as a gorgeous silky Yoga prop!) This allows for a greater range of movement and also the magic of zero compression inversions, giving a unique feeling of weightlessness and allowing the deepest release for your spine. It is very much still a Yoga practice, with elements of breathwork and meditation too. There are also lots of creative flips & tricks to play with as you build your confidence so you can truly embrace your inner child. Expect plenty of giggles & joyfulness and a newfound love for being upside down!
