Nasreen Hijazi

Nasreen has worked in the Movement and Meditation world for over 20 years. Her fascination with Movement started very young, in the form of Ballet and Gymnastics and her Meditation journey began with her love of music. Always aware of how sound was so intrinsically linked to expression and release, emotional and physical.

Singing, Movement and Meditation are daily rituals for Nasreen and there is not a day that goes by without music filling her home.

Nasreen has just published a book ‘Keep Calm and Do BODMAS’ – a book of Meditation tools for Teens. Although aimed at Teens, the whole family can benefit from the tips and stories in this lovely little book. The book’s main goal is to enable the reader to understand and begin a meditation journey! But also to personalise Meditation for themselves. Each of us can learn to love stillness and silence, and it starts with making friends with them.

Nasreen is very excited to be joining Freezone this year and offering workshops for the whole family.

Workshop 1

Meditation for Teens
In this workshop, Nasreen  will cover some key Meditation messages which are shared in her Book ‘Keep Calm and Do BODMAS’.
Helping weave some good foundations into a long lasting meditation practice, that doesn’t rely on trying to sit still for 20 mins and going crazy with the thoughts running through your head.
There really is so much joy in becoming friends with Stillness.
This workshop will be fun, friendly and for all!

Workshop 2

cOMe and Chant

A gentle, heart opening session using Mantra and sound vibrations.  This workshop will be fun, friendly and for all!  Singing and chanting are daily rituals that Nasreen holds as key components to her healing and being.  Chanting and using our voice is truly transformative.

This session is about connecting to our true resonance, true nature and coming home to the Heart of the matter.
