Magdalena Atkinson has been part of the Freezone tribe since the very beginning of the festival, sharing her music and workshops with the community. She is a sound-shifting, free-spirited artist whose voice moves effortlessly through many realms — ethereal, angelic, Celtic, jazzy, shamanic and tribal. With a natural sense of magic and flow, she weaves between genres, from folk to ballad, jazz to French chanson, and from earthy shamanic tones to celestial soundscapes.

Magdalena is a singer-songwriter, Shakti Dance teacher, music and wellbeing facilitator, Gene Keys Guide, and a dreamer. Born and raised in Poland, she has made the South of England her home since 2004. She has released two solo albums — Beauty & Power (2016) and Love & Light (2018) — and founded the band Magdalena and the Mystical Birds, who released the album Lyric Lockdown Live in 2021.

Currently, Magdalena is recording medicine songs and chants accompanied by her hammered dulcimer. In June 2026, her band will release their second legacy album.
