Outlandish are a three-piece originals band comprising two established singer-songwriters, Wendy Jane and Gav Blackhall, alongside percussionist Elaine Richmond. Together, they create a distinctive and captivating sound, rich with lush harmonies and layered instrumentation.
Drawing consistently strong audience responses, Outlandish move seamlessly between styles and instruments, incorporating guitar, flute, harmonium, bass and hand percussion to build a powerful, enchanting live experience. Performing mainly original material, their music draws on a broad palette of influences including folk, reggae, funk, blues and world music.
Their live shows take audiences on a dynamic journey — from tender, delicately woven love songs, through driving tribal folk rhythms, and on to infectious funk-infused grooves guaranteed to get you on your feet.
